A teaser on NVIDIA’s Twitter showed a “Diagram for the Machine to Calculate Bernoulli Numbers”. This diagram was created by Ada Lovelace in 1843 for Charles Babbage’s Analytical Engine and is considered the first non-trivial computer program. As such, NVIDIA has confirmed that it is announcing the RTX series based on the Ada architecture.

Yesterday’s teaser also featured some interesting Easter eggs. The numbers on the sticker may refer to the specifications of the AD102 GPU. This may be the size of the crystal (629 mm²) and the number of transistors (75.38 billion). The meaning of the first number is not clear, although some believe it could be 2.08 times the performance of the GA102.
NVIDIA is expected to announce three GPUs: RTX 4090, RTX 4080 16GB, and RTX 4080 12GB, but only the first model will be released in October. Most likely, the company will soon share more details about future GPUs in new teasers.
