At the beginning of next week, Sharp will hold a press conference during which it will present its autumn-winter novelties. The main one will be the announcement of the Aquos Sense 7 smartphone line, one of the smartphones of which was partly declassified by a cover leak in the Chinese wholesale online store Alibaba. In addition to photos of the case itself, which confirm a very strange arrangement of keys on the ends (volume buttons at the camera level, a fingerprint scanner below the middle, some incomprehensible button between them) and the presence of a 3.5 mm audio jack on the bottom, there is also a render of the smartphone in case.
We’re not sure if this render can be trusted, but if so, it reveals interesting details about the upcoming smartphone’s camera. Around the lens there is the following inscription: “LEITZ – SUMMICRON 1: 1.9 / 19 ASPH”. Thus, the average Sharp will receive a camera with Leica Summicron optics, which has an aperture of f / 1.9 and has become familiar to the Japanese company EFR 19 mm. This means that the main lens will offer a much larger field of view than the competition (but less than their wides). It is not clear what the role of the second camera is then; it is possible that and like the Aquos R7, it will be a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
