The recently released teaser for the new series The Last of Us from HBO has already gone viral – at the moment it has collected more than 4 million views. In a video clip of episodes from the upcoming show, featuring Bella Ramsay as Ellie and Pedro Pascal as Joel, fans have found many similarities to the original computer game.
The authors of the ElAnalistaDeBits channel, which specializes in technical and visual comparisons of video game industry products, published a video in which they analyzed the similarities and differences between the teaser and fragments of the recent PlayStation 5 remake of the game.
Many scenes, landscapes and even small details are carried over into the show almost unchanged. In the series, as in the game, similar advertising signs are used – with the same semantic content and in the same neglected state.
The teaser also shows scenes that are practically identical to the game – for example, an escape from the quarantine zone.
Surprisingly accurately, the showrunners of the series tried to convey even the smallest details: the watch that his daughter Sarah gave Joel is cracked, just like in the game.
The actors were selected and made up with great care – some characters look like animated video game characters.

The release of the series The Last of Us is scheduled for 2023 – HBO has not yet decided on a more exact date.
