The iPhone 4S, which became the last iPhone created and introduced during the life of Steve Jobs in 2011, became the hero of high-profile litigation 4 years later. In 2015, Apple released iOS 9, claiming that it would make the device “faster and more responsive”. In fact, everything turned out to be exactly the opposite, which is why the buyers filed a class action lawsuit. Now, after a little over 6 years, the parties nevertheless came to a compromise solution: Apple pledged to pay a total of $ 20 million in compensation. So, iPhone 4S owners in New York and New Jersey affected by the installation of iOS 9 will receive $15 each. In the near future, Apple will create a website for accepting applications. At the same time, affected customers from other states and countries, apparently, will not receive compensation.
