The beginning of May will turn out to be rich in smartphone announcements not only in China, where there are always enough of them, but also in Japan, where the two largest smartphone manufacturers will show their flagships two days apart. We previously heard that Sony will unveil the new Xperia flagship on May 11th, and last night, Sharp unexpectedly announced the presentation on May 9th. Judging by the stories on the social network, which cannot be named, on this day at 10:00 local time (04:00 Moscow time) the company will show the summer products of the Aquos series, among which the flagship Sharp Aquos R7 will undoubtedly be among them.

So far, we know unusually little about it by the standards of flagship smartphones, which are only two days away from the announcement. It is reported that Sharp Aquos R7 will receive the current top-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory, a flat screen (instead of the unsuccessful “waterfall” in its predecessor), a headphone jack and One Large Camera similar to its predecessor. Whether the camera will be exactly the same as that of the Aquos R6, or whether it will somehow be improved is still unknown. We are waiting for new details – fortunately, they will appear very soon.
