More megapixels: Samsung is developing a new sensor for the Galaxy S23

Smartphones with the first 200 megapixel ISOCELL HP1 sensor have not yet come out, and Samsung is already preparing ISOCELL HP3. In addition to the name and resolution of 200 megapixels, there is no information about the sensor yet. One could assume an increase in sensor size compared to HP1, which, recall, has a 1/1.22-inch matrix, but this makes no sense, given the lack of logic in Samsung’s sensor names.

The Galaxy S23 is rumored to have a new 200MP sensor, and the HP3 sensor is being developed just for it. The first smartphone with HP1 could be Motorola Frontier .
