According to informed sources, NVIDIA decided to postpone the release date of the GeForce GTX 1630 video card two weeks later. The update of the information embargo for partners indicates that the official release date has shifted from May 31 to June 15.
What is even more interesting, the materials indicate only the date of entry into the sale, but there is no information regarding the information embargo on the release of reviews. This may mean that there are no plans to send out review samples, and as a result, reviews of the GeForce GTX 1630 will not appear in the media. The only exception may be the situation when the media will independently look for a device for review.
Note that the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1630 is the entry-level graphics card in the GTX series based on the Turing architecture. According to available information, it is equipped with a TU117-150 GPU with a reduced number of CUDA cores to 512. The novelty contains 4 GB of GDDR6 memory with a 64-bit access bus and a bandwidth of 12 Gb / s. The memory bandwidth is 96 GB / s, and according to this indicator, the device is inferior to the 6-year-old GeForce GTX 1050 Ti , which it replaces. Preliminary synthetic test data for the GeForce GTX 1630 is also not impressive.
NVIDIA has not yet named the recommended price for the GeForce GTX 1630 video card. There is also no information about the scale of the release of the device. Given the denial of reviews, the video card may be limited to only some regions.
