This year’s Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC 2022) will be hosted by Apple in a largely virtual format. Nevertheless, the IT giant has begun sending out invitations to a limited circle of people to attend an event at the Apple Park headquarters in Cupertino – this part of the conference will take place on June 6th.
Others will be able to read the introductory report and other materials online. Although two Apple conferences have already been held online due to the pandemic, it is not surprising that this time the event is taking place in a hybrid format – the company’s employees have already begun working in offices again, at least they must attend them once a week.
Members of the Apple Developer Program and Apple Developer Enterprise Program have a chance to apply for an invitation from May 9 to 11. Apple said that the selection will be randomly organized and invitations cannot be transferred to outsiders (let alone sold).
Selected participants will have to confirm attendance by the evening of May 18, otherwise their invitation will be transferred to another applicant.
At WWDC , the company is expected to showcase iOS 16, iPadOS 16, watchOS 9, tvOS 16, and a new version of macOS. In addition, Apple may talk about the new M2 chipsets, which, according to rumors, it is already testing on at least nine Mac models.
