Poland is one of the many countries that are very actively helping our country during the war.
On May 3, when the neighboring state celebrates Constitution Day , we decided to tell you a little about the culture of this country and put together a selection of five films created in Poland. Perhaps one of these pictures will diversify your evening tonight.
“Cold War”
The picture tells about post-war Poland and the relationship between the conductor Viktor and the girl Zuli. Both politics and their personal differences stand in the way of their romance.
“Three colors”
This work is a trilogy that includes three films: “Three Colors: Blue”, “Three Colors: White”, “Three Colors: Red”, however, they have become so iconic for director Krzysztof Kieślowski that you need to watch them all together.
“Supernova”
This picture tells about a few hours of the life of a rural community. The protagonist of the film is Mikhail, an alcoholic who has a terrible tragedy in his life. The film shows the state of a person in a borderline situation and raises questions about the nature of chance and fate.
“Body of Christ”
20-year-old prisoner Daniel, taking advantage of the opportunity, he pretends to be a graduate of the seminary and takes the place of an ill clergyman in the parish of a small provincial town.
“Ida”
This black and white Polish film is about a girl named Anna who discovers that her real name is Ida Lebenstein and her biological parents, Jews who were killed during the war. Having learned the truth, the girl decides to find their graves.
