In this review, let’s talk about very budget headphones called Lazo LX10 from HIPER. An interesting model, which is very similar in some aspects to AirPods 2 and at the same time to AirPods 3. I just have AirPods 2 at hand, with which I can compare the reviewed model. That’s just the difference in their cost by about 11 times (obviously, AirPods 2 are more expensive), so it will be very interesting to know how the headphones turned out in this price segment.

HIPER Lazo 10 is delivered in a square package made of black thick cardboard. There is nothing extra on the front of the box. The entire list of features is located on the tank part of the package.
On the back of the box, as we are used to seeing, are the technical specifications of the device. I want to note that everything is written in an accessible language. On this side, too, there is nothing superfluous, everything is essential and only necessary.
What is inside the box or what is included in the package:
- Charging case with headphones;
- Charging cable USB A – Lightning;
- Manual;
- A magic letter with a promotional code that gives a subscription to VK Combo for 3 months (works, verified);
- A couple of stickers with different stickers;
- Warranty card, which is located directly in the instructions;
Appearance
By tradition, I’ll start with the fact that this model is sold only in black. But, there are other models, such as LX11, LX12, one of which is blue and the other is white.
The case is made of glossy plastic, like the Air Pods 2. They are very good not only for fingerprints, but also for all sorts of scratches.
The case of the reviewed model is very compact and will fit into the pockets of any jeans, jackets and so on without any problems. The charging case from AirPods 2 has never caused any discomfort in the pocket for six months, and this black case is even smaller (in length), so this is definitely a plus. Unfortunately, this phenomenon has its drawbacks, for example, because of this, manufacturers had to sacrifice autonomy, but we’ll talk about this a little later.
The headphone seats inside the case are also made of glossy plastic. In the reviewed model, as in AirPods 2, there are no marks like “R” and “L”. They, frankly, are not needed, since it is intuitively clear which of the headphones belongs to the ear. The right lying earphone – to the right, the left – to the left, everything is simple.
On the bottom is the Lightning charging port. After opening, at first I thought it was Type-C and was delighted, because for such a cost to get another such connector is a miracle. But in any case, it’s better than the same MicroUSB.
On the front side there is an indicator that informs about its status. In AirPods 3, this is implemented in the same way.
On the back of the case is located completely unnecessary information. I don’t like it when there is something superfluous on the case, but to be honest, you stop paying attention to it after a short time of operation.
On the same part there is a button, about which there is no information in the instructions. No, it is not needed when pairing the headphones with a device or for a factory reset. I can’t call it a minus, since the manufacturers did without it, but what is it essentially for? Unclear. But it performs the function of antistress.
The lid is very tightly held on magnets, so it is unlikely that there will ever be accidental openings. But, unfortunately, I can not say that it opens / closes pleasantly. I have a feeling that in my case something is wrong with the case lid, because in the reviews I did not see anyone complaining about it. I will try to demonstrate this process in the video, which will be at the very bottom of the article.
The headset is made from the same glossy plastic as the charging case. In the following photo, you can see that the length of the “legs” of the reviewed model is shorter than that of the AirPods 2.
Not surprisingly, the LAZO LX10 looks very dignified and neat in the ear shells. When wearing them, there is no feeling that something is “sticking out” of your ears. I think this is very important for a lot of people.
The headphones themselves in the case are very confidently held with the help of magnets. It takes a lot of effort to get them out of their “nest”.
The outer metal mesh is slightly larger than in the AirPods 2. The “L” and “R” marks are present. As I understand it, the microphones are located on the “legs” of the device. In general, they are very similar in design and both fit very well in the ears. With prolonged use, they do not cause any discomfort.
Control
To be honest, I didn’t notice the notch on the “legs” right away, and therefore at first I thought that there was a very poor control here, which works every other time. If you look closely at the “legs” of the headphones, you can see these very recesses designed for control.
I repeat that the headphones have touch control, through which you can:
- one touch on any of the headphones – pause / play;
- long touch on any of the headphones (for ~ 2 seconds) – call the voice assistant;
- double tap on the left / right earphone – previous / next song;
- one touch on the left / right earpiece during a call – accept / end the call;
- long touch on the right earpiece during a call – reject the call;
- triple tap on the left / right earpiece – decrease / increase the volume;
- four touches on any of the headphones – a call to the last interlocutor (recall);
- a long touch on any of the headphones – turn it off, so during operation you can turn off any unnecessary headphone;
The list of possibilities through headphones is very large. Therefore, at first you will have to devote exactly about fifteen minutes to this in order to more or less get used to it. It’s funny that AirPods 2 only have half of the features on this list, but it should be noted that the controls in the reviewed device are not so convenient. At first, there is a high probability of accidental clicks, which is not the case with Apple’s headset.
It is also worth noting that while pairing the Lazo LX10 with an Apple phone, it is possible to call the voice assistant using the phrase “Hey Siri”, but, unfortunately, it does not respond to any requests. For example, “Hey Siri! What is the weather today?” Then she/he will think for a while and eventually pass out.
What I really didn’t like was that after every time you take the headphones out of your “jack”, they, that is, the voice assistant warns about it in this way: “headset connected, right channel … left channel.” For some, this may not seem critical, but there are people who quite often take them out, then return them back to the case and then hear this phrase every time … well, that’s it.
Even in these headphones there are no auto-pause sensors. This is when the headset automatically pauses music / video after removing them from the ears. I can’t say it’s critical, but I love this feature. And yes, it is in AirPods 2, even if it were not there for the money.
Connection
To connect, you must first remove the charged headphones from the charging case. Next, turn on “Bluetooth” on your smartphone and enter the “search for devices” mode. And after a while, “HIPER TWS LAZO” should appear in the “My Devices” section. If anything, I connected and tested the headphones through the iPhone 11.
Sound
I’ll start with the fact that there is a margin of volume. Those who usually do not like to listen to loud music will definitely have enough here. But are they louder than AirPods 2? Not louder, but they are inferior to them quite a bit, which is not even so easy to notice.
Low frequencies (bass) are distorted at above-average volumes. I’m not a music lover, but comparing the sound with AirPods 2, it was hard not to notice. I have no complaints about the rest of the frequency levels. Do they sound good for their money? Definitely yes.
With these headphones, you can watch YouTube videos and just TV shows in the browser without any problems. The sound does not lag behind the picture, but even if there is some lag, it is definitely not critical and does not catch the eye, which is very important.
Microphone
Of course, it will be better to look at the work of the microphone on the video, since it is not easy to convey in words. But here I’ll still say that through them it will be possible to communicate only in a quiet place, and then you will have to speak loudly and clearly to the interlocutor in order to be heard and understood.
In public transport, you definitely won’t be able to talk, since the interlocutor will hear all extraneous noises, after which he / she may be offended by you. I’m joking, of course, but still the interlocutor will not be pleased.
autonomy
The battery capacity of the charging case is 180 mAh, and each of the headphones has 60 mAh. Remember, we talked about the fact that manufacturers had to sacrifice autonomy in order to achieve such compact dimensions of the case. Because of this, with the help of the case, it will be possible to charge the headphones only once, and maybe after one full charge they will be enough to charge them a little a second time.
After connecting the headphones, their charge level appears on the upper right side of the smartphone screen. Unfortunately, the exact level of the remaining charge cannot be traced.
While charging the charging case, the indicator flashes red constantly, and after the device is fully charged, it will just turn on.

Conclusion
HIPER Lazo LX10 are great wireless earbuds for the price. I would recommend these headphones to those who are looking for something inexpensive, not picky about the sound, and if you do not care about the performance of the microphone. I repeat that it will be possible to talk through them, but without any comfort. Otherwise, there are no special complaints, if only for little things. In general, if you remember the cost of these headphones, then all claims disappear.
At first, it will definitely take time to get used to the controls. Yes, not everything here is done at a high level, but do not forget about their cost.
