The animal lived for almost two months in a destroyed high-rise building in Borodyanka on the 7th floor. Without water, food and the ability to get out.
In early March, the occupiers destroyed the house – a rocket hit the building. Only in early May, people passing by noticed that a cat lives on one of the floors . Volunteers from the “Zoopatrul” came to the rescue.
Volunteers picked up a drone to make sure the cat was alive. Local rescuers did not have the necessary equipment to remove the animal, so they attracted colleagues from neighboring Irpen, who did not refuse, and two daredevils went up to the apartment.
The animal was rescued, fed and taken to the veterinary clinic.
According to the condition of the cat’s teeth, veterinarians determined that she was 10 years old. Activists from Zoo Patrol, together with their followers on social networks, have chosen a new name for her – Shafa (remember the meme about the holding locker in Borodyanka?).
And today, May 4, volunteers reported that Shafa had found new owners.
“Shafa woke up at home for the first time today! At home with herself and her saviors, where it is warm, well-fed, and most importantly, where they love you and will never leave you, even when rockets fly outside the window. We wish her good luck in the new stage of life! She deserved it!” volunteers write.
