The Russian singer complains that inspiration no longer comes to him. And also the fact that it is impossible to work in the new Russian realities.
On April 1, Sergey Lazarev celebrated his 39th birthday. On this occasion, the ok-magazine.ru magazine published an interview with the singer, in which he complained that it was not possible for him to work in the current realities.
Journalists asked him a question: “What do you plan to do before your 40th birthday next year? How will you please your fans? Do you already have an idea for a new album?”, To which Lazarev replied:
“In general, while I (and not only me) are in a slight stupor, because it is not clear how to shoot and on what platforms to promote new clips. Many record labels are leaving Russia . Many legal digital platforms where you could monetize your work are closed “We have been striving for the legalization of the music market for so long and have just come to civilized relations in the field of music, and now everything is again unclear. While we are all trying to get used to the new reality. So I temporarily suspended work on the new album and see what happens further. The same goes for clips.”
That is, Sergei is worried not because the aggressor country Russia is killing Ukrainians, and Russian soldiers are returning home in plastic bags. Lazarev is worried about the lack of monetization.
The artist also said that it is now very difficult for him to draw inspiration for creativity, because there is so much anger and hatred around.
“It’s very difficult to resist all this. At such moments, I want to close and not let anyone into my world. But there are fans who have been with me for many years, and for their sake I want to continue doing something. And I’m glad that I’m giving this interview today, because I closed many social networks,” the singer says.
However, why does Sergey need social networks if they are also not monetized and do not make a profit, right? By the way, on Instagram banned in the Russian Federation, he sometimes continues to publish posts.
