The social network that Elon Musk has plans for has begun a limited test of the Twitter Circle feature. It’s like Google Plus Circles or Close Friends on Instagram. Users can add up to 150 people to share posts only with them. Both friends and any other accounts can get into this circle.

To tweet to a select circle of readers, you need to find the “Select Audience” menu at the time of publication of the entry and click “Twitter Circle” instead of “Everyone”. The social network explains that “circles” is a way to ensure privacy, like a blocked account, which is visible only to subscribers. People who enter the circle will be able to see the tweets, but could not use the retweet. This will not stop the content from being shared, as users will be able to take screenshots or save content from the tweet.
Once a user has been added to a Circle, you can’t leave it, but you can turn off the discussion.
It is clear from Twitter’s guidelines that users can still be banned for offensive behavior or other behavior that violates the rules, even if the entry is made to a limited audience.
Some Tweets are for everyone & others are just for people you’ve picked.
We’re now testing Twitter Circle, which lets you add up to 150 people who can see your Tweets when you want to share with a smaller crowd.

The new feature has been in development since last year and was originally called “Trusted Friends” and this year it’s called “Flock”.
Testers currently have the ability to create only one Circle, and only the user who created the Circle can see a list of all the people added to it. The test started immediately for iOS, Android and on the website.
Twitter now lets you choose who can reply to your posts after they’ve been posted
