Former head coach of the Ukrainian national team Andriy Shevchenko and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson took part in a charity event in support of the Ukrainian people in the war against Russian invaders.
On Friday, May 5, the Ukrainian Embassy in the UK organized the “Brave Ukraine” campaign to raise funds to help Ukraine. The 45-year-old ex-coach of the national team received an invitation to this charity event and attended it.

The benefit evening was also attended by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson . He delivered a speech in support of Ukraine in the terrible war that the Russian Federation unleashed.
“The Embassy of Ukraine in the UK organized the “Brave Ukraine” campaign to raise funds to help Ukraine. It is very important to see the support of our country around the world. I would like to express my gratitude to the Embassy of Ukraine for the invitation.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson attended the event and delivered his speech to support Ukraine and continue working with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to achieve victory in this terrible war, help Ukraine with money and do everything for victory and peace in Ukraine.
I want to urge everyone to continue to support Ukraine, because people die and suffer every day. I sincerely believe that all actions will lead to the Victory of Ukraine and bring peace and tranquility to our lives. Glory to Ukraine!” Shevchenko wrote on Instagram.
We add that Shevchenko actively helps Ukraine during the war with Russia. Earlier it was reported that Andrei settled refugees from Ukraine in his house in London. He also regularly publishes posts in social networks in support of his native country.
It also recently became known that Shevchenko decided to return to the football field for the sake of Ukraine .
