The VKontakte social network team announced the launch of a separate VK Clips mobile application, which allows you to create short videos in a vertical format.
The “VK Clips” application is available for mobile devices based on iOS and Android for installation from the App Store and Google Play .
Among the innovations of the application are advanced functions for editing video fragments: reshooting and reshooting, splitting and merging, changing the order of fragments, changing the duration, color filters, reverse and duplication. The maximum duration of clips has been updated: application users can now shoot and upload videos up to three minutes long – instead of 60 seconds before. There is also support for Full HD and speeds up to 60 frames per second.
VK ID is used to enter and register in VK Clips – a single account for all projects of the VK ecosystem (former Mail.ru Group). Thanks to this, all clips published by the user inside VKontakte will be available in a separate application of the service – and vice versa.
In addition, it became possible to use some functions of VK Clips in a separate application even without authorization or registration: for example, watch videos, read comments, go to authors’ profiles and by hashtags and collections, as well as look for new content for inspiration.
