To date, Roadgid Premier 3 is one of the brightest new products in 2022 with the most up-to-date technical stuffing. I could not ignore this model, I got the registrar for testing as soon as it went on sale. I was more than satisfied with the work of the registrar. Basic Information and Specifications

The Roadgid Premier 3 model combines the functions of a DVR, a radar detector and a GPS informer. First of all, it is worth mentioning the main competitive advantage of the novelty – the device is the first combo device with an ultra-light-sensitive Sony IMX 327 sensor for improved night photography. The device itself is made in a rectangular black case with rounded corners. The front panel is made in the form of carbon fiber – it looks impressive, perfectly harmonizes with the interior of a modern car.

Case dimensions 90x50x27 mm. The lens protrudes slightly from the body. There is a thread for an anti-glare CPL filter. On the front is the radar detector receiver.

The entire back is occupied by a 3-inch display – the optimal size that allows you to view small details on the video.

The control buttons are located on the side and at the top. All buttons are responsive, the location is convenient, ergonomic, easy to press. The case also has a slot for a memory card, a speaker, a patch antenna, a microphone hole.

The windshield mount bracket connects to the body of the recorder with a magnet, which provides instant easy installation and removal. The bracket comes with through power. Please note that the USB Type-C connector is used – more modern, compact and reliable than the mini-USB common in most DVRs. The power plug is firmly seated in the socket.

As I said at the beginning of the review, the unique feature of the model is that the Roadgid Premier 3 is the first combo with the ultra-light sensitive Sony IMX 327 sensor. The light sensitivity of the Sony IMX 327 sensor is an order of magnitude superior to other sensors used for night photography. It contributes to the preservation of color, brightness, clarity even in low light levels.

I think this is the best solution for getting great night shots. By the way, in reality, a DVR with FullHD shooting and a sensor with high light sensitivity allows you to get an image that is more detailed and of high quality than many 4K devices.

The radar detector showed a good range of alerts, timely and accurately responded to tripods and mobile ambushes of traffic police – you always have time to calmly slow down and not get fined.

To protect against false positives, there is a signature module. Thanks to him, the registrar does not respond to automatic store doors, blind spot monitoring sensors, underground parking and other “irritants” that are found around every turn in the city.

GPS-informer and detailed alerts about traffic police cameras

The GPS-informer informs about traffic police cameras in advance – detailed notifications about speed control places, public transport lane control, roadside and other cameras are received.

Messages are always thoughtful, concise and to the point, without listing unnecessary details. The recorder delivers maximum information with a minimum of noise, and this is especially important when driving at high speed, when you need to respond to alerts as quickly as possible.

Traffic sign reading function

Additional convenience while driving is provided by the function of reading road signs. Premier 3 recognizes speed signs and then displays a notification on the screen. The function works accurately not only during the day, but also at night, as well as in bad weather. I think this option helps to better navigate on unfamiliar sections of the road.

Wi-Fi and branded mobile application

The device has a Wi-Fi module, through which it is easy to connect to the recorder from a regular smartphone. To do this, you just need to install a proprietary application on your phone. Through the application, you can change settings, work with videos, for example, send them via instant messengers. The application also has the ability to update the camera database – the most up-to-date information appears on the brand’s website every day.

All this greatly simplifies the handling of the registrar, managing all the settings through the application is faster and more convenient than connecting the device by wire to a computer or rearranging a memory card.
