Vodafone Ukraine (part of the Azerbaijani holding NEQSOL Holding) announced that it has expanded the geography of the Accessible Roaming service (free Internet and roaming calls) and added five more countries: the USA, Canada, Israel, Switzerland and Azerbaijan. Overall, this service is now active in 32 countries.
From May 23, 2022, Vodafone customers who were forced to travel to these countries can use a free roaming service package by paying only the usual Ukrainian monthly fee – the operator canceled the fee at the end of April . Under the terms, the service provides 10 GB of Internet, 300 minutes: 250 days off to Ukrainian Vodafone numbers, 50 minutes to other Ukrainian operators, calls in the host country, as well as incoming calls from any network. The package also includes 100 SMS.
The service operates in 32 countries: Austria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Greece, Denmark, Estonia, Israel, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, USA, Turkey, Hungary, Finland, France, Croatia, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Sweden
Vodafone automatically activates the “Affordable roaming” service for subscription subscribers with a connected service package at a tariff, and for contract subscribers with a paid bill.
Also, the service can be activated independently once a month. To do this, you need to pay the usual subscription fee for your Ukrainian tariff or make sure that it is paid and dial *600*6# on your phone. After the package of services is exhausted , the basic tariffication in roaming will apply .
For the new five countries, the basic tariffication in roaming is also reduced: every 100 MB – 5 UAH, 10 minutes – 15 UAH and 15 SMS – 1.5 UAH.
Last week, Ukraine initiated negotiations on joining the EU roaming space. If in the end Ukraine enters the EU roaming space, then Ukrainians traveling throughout the EU will be able to call and use mobile Internet at home rates without additional surcharges.
