Today at Computex 2022, NVIDIA unveiled the ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz gaming monitor, created in collaboration with ASUS and its gaming division Republic of Gamers. The monitor is equipped with a 24.1-inch Esports-TN (E-TN) panel with Full HD resolution (1920×1080 pixels) and a refresh rate of up to 500Hz, a record to date.
NVIDIA described the new product as “the lowest latency G-Sync eSports display with the highest refresh rate ever created.” Prior to this, the ASUS ROG Swift 360Hz monitor with a frequency of 360Hz, released in 2020, had the highest frequency in the ASUS ROG Swift series.
ASUS and NVIDIA have developed new G-SYNC 500Hz esports displays tuned specifically for competitive gaming such as CS:GO, Valorant, Overwatch and League of Legends.
The monitor supports NVIDIA G-SYNC Esports Mode with Esports Vibrance for more vibrant colors. NVIDIA Reflex Latency Analyzer technology is also supported to reduce system input latency ” by optimizing both the hardware and the game “, which the company claims makes gamers more competitive in multiplayer games and more receptive in single-player games.
Reflex technology has been supported by GeForce graphics cards since the 900 series. According to the company, more than 20 million gamers use NVIDIA Reflex every month, making it one of NVIDIA’s most successful technologies.
ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz connectivity options include a DisplayPort 1.4 port, an HDMI 2.0 port, two USB 3.2 ports, and a headphone audio jack.
The remaining specifications of the monitor are unknown, as well as the price, as well as the timing of the sale.
