Developers from independent French studio Awaceb (Fossil Echo) have released a new gameplay trailer for their tropical open-world adventure Tchia, inspired by New Caledonia in the Pacific.
Recall that the events of Tchia will unfold on a huge tropical archipelago. Players take on the role of the girl Chia, who can move into objects and animals, to explore the environment, play the ukulele and discover secrets.
The new video, titled Ocean Exploration Mini-Feature, is just over a minute long and focuses on exploring the ocean in Tchia: on a homemade raft (it can be customized) or on your own underwater.
The developers of Tchia promise free climbing mechanics, believable physics, a personalization system, a unique and exciting atmosphere, voice acting in the local language and subtitles in ordinary (including Russian).
As a result of the recent postponement , Tchia is expected to release in 2023 for PC (Epic Games Store), PS4 and PS5. The game was originally announced for Steam and Google Stadia , but nothing has been heard about these target platforms since December 2020.
