Motorola has already officially confirmed the preparation of a new smartphone with a flexible screen – the RAZR 3 clamshell model, codenamed Maven. It is expected that the smartphone will be one of the first to be built on the flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform.
A short video giving an idea of the device’s appearance has already appeared on the Internet thanks to a well-known network whistleblower known by the nickname @evleaks. The design of the novelty has changed markedly both in comparison with the original RAZR 2019 and the RAZR 5G from 2020.
The new RAZR has almost completely eliminated the “chin” at the bottom of the device – the novelty is more reminiscent of the Samsung Galaxy Flip models than Motorola’s first foldable smartphones.
In addition, there are two main cameras – one more than before, as well as a hole in the upper center of the internal screen for taking selfies. The display itself doesn’t seem to have any noticeable crease along the fold line at all.
The fingerprint scanner is integrated into the side lock button, and the external screen is quite large, in this respect Samsung models, including the Galaxy Z Flip 3 , are unlikely to compete with the smartphone. Judging by the fact that the novelty is already in a high state of readiness, we can expect other leaks and even official teasers to appear in the near future.
