Following the alleged date of the announcement and the price tag of Nothing Phone (1) that appeared on the Web, the founder of the brand, Carl Pei, who once stood at the origins of OnePlus, decided to speak out. In an interview with Wallpaper, he talked about what to expect from a design that “turns everything inside out.” First, the smartphone will inherit the aesthetics of the Nothing Ear (1), known for its “transparent” body. To do this, Karl says, the engineers had to solve an intricate puzzle, the purpose of which was to expose the most interesting insides of the device, highlighting them from the rest. Apparently, we are talking about a transparent cover, the location of the filling under which “is inspired by the 1972 New York subway map.”

Secondly, Nothing strives for the uniformity of the brand’s products, so that all devices have a common design language – something that most companies lack so much, the devices of any of which on the same table look foreign to each other. Everyone except Apple. Finally, the top manager once again reminded that Nothing Phone (1) will be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, controlled by Nothing OS. The presentation of the first-born will take place in the summer.
