At the end of last year, Xiaomi updated its range of tablets for the first time in many years, introducing the Xiaomi Pad 5 and Pad 5 Pro to the world. Apparently, the experiment was considered successful, since the first mentions of Xiaomi Pad 6 appeared on the Web. Thus, a Xiaomi tablet with the code designation “22081283G” appeared in the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission) database. The first four characters of the code (2208) indicate plans to launch it in August, and the combination “1283” is interpreted as L83 (12th letter of the English alphabet + device code). This is confirmed by the authoritative informant Digital Chat Station, at the same time pointing out the existence of the “L81 series of tablets” – according to rumors, it consists of the L81 model and its more affordable version L81a, which will be released on behalf of Redmi.

The source also hinted that the chipsets used in the new products “will definitely be more powerful than those that underlie recent low-hertz solutions” – probably, we are talking about Realme Tab X and OPPO Pad Air with Snapdragon 695 and 680 on board. Other sources indicate the use of MediaTek Dimensity chips, but so far without specifics. Well, the appearance of the L83 model in the EEC indicates Xiaomi’s plans to bring a new product to the Russian market.
