Nutritionist Svetlana Fus told why feeling hungry is absolutely normal.
The feeling of hunger is our body’s signal that nutrients have run out. That is, time has passed after eating, and we must feed our body.
It is impossible to allow severe hunger (such that something, but only to eat). We must learn to feel our body and understand when to eat.
What are the causes of hunger?
- The first reason is psychological. This is when you “eat” the emptiness that you feel inside yourself, “eat stress. You associate your emotional state with food. Or you try to get the only possible pleasure in life through food. If you cannot solve the issue of “eating” psychological problems on your own, they will contact to a specialist – to a psychologist
- The second reason is chronic diseases. Many diseases (especially of the digestive system) can give the so-called “sucking” sensation in the stomach area in the interval of an hour and a half after eating. What kind of diseases can these be? Gastritis (both low and high acidity), chronic cholecystitis, pancreatitis, thyroid disease. If, in the case of these diseases, the conditions of food quality or diet are not observed, then a feeling of hunger may occur.
- The third reason is a violation of the diet. A diet is when you eat at almost the same time throughout the day, and do it all your life. If you do not have time to fully eat in time, the body will give you signals with a feeling of hunger.
Therefore, the first thing you should do in case of feeling increased hunger is to organize your diet. Therefore, if you now have the opportunity to eat normally – eat. This is the guarantee of health. Ukraine needs a healthy nation!
