Ramzan Kadyrov actively supports the war in Ukraine through posts on his Telegram channel. Previously, the main public platform for the head of Chechnya was Instagram, but his account there was blocked back in 2017.
In his telegram, Kadyrov regularly reports on the successes of fighters from Chechnya, condemns the process of negotiations with the Ukrainian authorities, and praises Vladimir Putin. During the war, the audience of his channel doubled – from one to two million subscribers. But what else is known about fighters from Chechnya in Ukraine?
The BBC Russian service talked about this with the founder of the Conflict Intelligence Team, Ruslan Leviev.
