Both strikes hit the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv.

Russia’s Defense Ministry on Friday morning acknowledged the strikes on Kyiv, but did not admit that one of the missiles hit an apartment building.

“Two hits in the Shevchenkivskyi district,” Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said on Thursday evening about the consequences of the shelling of the capital.
SES spokeswoman Svitlana Vodolaga said that one of the two hits hit the facility and one hit the residential sector nearby.
The body of the man who died as a result of the shelling was found on Friday morning, Radio Svoboda producer Vira Gyrych said.

In its morning report, the Russian Defense Ministry admitted that it had struck Kyiv the day before, as well as several other Ukrainian cities.
“The Air Force destroyed the production buildings of the Artem rocket and space industry enterprise in Kyiv with high-precision long-range weapons,” the Russian agency said.
The Russian Defense Ministry did not mention that a Russian missile hit an apartment building in Kyiv and partially destroyed its lower floors, killing at least one person and injuring ten.
Five rockets were fired
Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko said on Thursday evening that one missile had been shot down. According to him, they were launched from the Crimea.
In an address Thursday night, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that a total of five rockets had been fired in Kyiv, and stressed that this happened when the UN Secretary General was in the capital:

In total, since the beginning of the war, the Russians have launched 1,900 missile strikes on Ukraine, said Mikhail Podoliak, an adviser to the president’s office.
