“After our Victory at the first session of the city council, I will offer deputies options for renaming not only the Moskovsky district and Moskovsky Prospekt. I think that in the situation of the war that has unleashed against us, many names of streets, squares, squares, public transport stops associated with the Russian Federation maps of Kharkov. Even without these names, it will have a lot of scars that will remind us for a long time about which neighbor is located beyond our eastern and northern borders, “Terekhov wrote.

The mayor also promised that in the near future there would be a section on the website of the City Council in which Kharkiv residents would be able to offer their own options for the names of streets, squares and squares.

“I am sure that the defenders of Kharkiv and Ukraine, both individual heroes and military formations, should be immortalized on the map of our city. I am sure that the new street names will always remind us and our children of what Ukraine has done and what contribution Kharkiv has made to the struggle for our honor and dignity, for the independence of the country, for the right of existence of the Ukrainian people,” wrote Igor Terekhov.
