In the Nikolaev region, a former serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who in 2014 went over to the side of the invaders, was sentenced to 14 years.
The man, who was previously taken prisoner as part of the RF Armed Forces, was found guilty of high treason and desertion.

As it turned out, the former Ukrainian serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine changed his oath in 2014. The man refused to comply with the order to relocate the military unit from the peninsula and joined the armed forces of the aggressor state. However, eight years later, on February 25, 2022, the former defender of Ukraine returned to the territory of his native state as part of the occupation troops that entered Novaya Kakhovka, Kherson region.
After that, he and two other former Ukrainian soldiers were taken prisoner as part of the artillery battalion of the 126th Separate Guards Coastal Defense Brigade of the Russian Federation, which was defeated by Ukrainian paratroopers in the Nikolaev region.
Regarding the other two traitors, the trial is still ongoing.
Recall that the SBU neutralized enemy agents that collected intelligence about the defense lines of the Ukrainian troops and the deployment of aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
