The economy is gradually recovering. Vacancies already account for 12% of pre-war time. The most demanded professions are all workers.
The economy of Ukraine works even under shelling. After the first shock, many businesses are gradually reopening.
About how Ukrainian business is recovering after more than two months of a full-scale war, is it also difficult to find a job, what vacancies are most needed now and where – on April 27, the TSN story says.
So, around one of the greenhouses in the Kyiv region, in the Brovarsky district, enemy shells flew one after another. It became risky to go to work under the glass roof of the greenhouse.
“It was impossible to shine, we already had nothing to heat, they could not bring it,” recalls foreman Alena.
And for greenhouse plants, this is key – the temperature should be plus 18. And you need to shine with lamps around the clock. Three weeks the greenhouse did not work. From 70 to 100 thousand plants did not survive.
But – thanks to several heroes who lived near the greenhouse, who went out to work at their own peril and risk – some of the plants survived.
In the greenhouse itself, minor damage – only three glasses were knocked out. But next to the workshop was disfigured by an explosive wave. It’s already been fixed. The manager estimates the damage from frozen plants and downtime at millions of hryvnias.
All employees are currently at work. And they are trying to reach pre-war production volumes. Of course, not everyone in Ukraine managed to do this. However, the situation on the labor market can be called optimistic, says specialist Yaroslav Gumenyuk.
“Compared to a month ago, the number of vacancies has increased, the activity of applicants has increased, we see the resumption of economic activity in Kyiv, and in the Kiev region,” he notes.
In addition to the Kyiv region, there are more vacancies in the Lviv region, Dnepropetrovsk region and, oddly enough, in the Kharkov region, where, of course, there are no hostilities. And the most demanded professions are all workers – from a locksmith to an electrician, we need seamstresses, trade workers, logistics specialists – from a driver to an international manager. Agricultural sector. And most of the vacancies are in IT.
“Business is recovering and adapting to new realities. The number of applicants is now about 61%, if we take 100% of the pre-war time. If we talk about vacancies, they already account for 12% of the pre-war time,” the expert notes.
That is, for every 100 vacancies before the war, there are now only 12. And this is already better. Because a month ago it was 4-6. Partly because business is moving to safer territories.
In addition, job seekers advise job seekers not to focus only on their profession, but to look wider – because there are many related specialties where you can find yourself.
