Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that all the tasks set by the Russian leadership when starting the war in Ukraine “will be fulfilled.”

So he commented on the results of two months of war, speaking at a meeting of the Council of Legislators of the Russian Federation.

“Our soldiers and officers have prevented the real danger that is already looming over our homeland. With their courage, determination and heroism, they have prevented a large-scale conflict that would unfold in our territory, but according to foreign scenarios,” Putin said.

He also once again threatened the consequences of Western countries for interfering in the situation in Ukraine.

If someone from the outside intends to intervene in the events that are taking place and pose a strategic threat to Russia, our response to counter-attacks will be swift and quick. We have all the tools that no one can boast about. And we will not brag about them , we will use them if necessary, “Putin said.

The President of the Russian Federation stressed that all relevant decisions “have already been made.”

According to him, the West has prepared for the Ukrainian people “the role of consumables”, and that the Ukrainian authorities were preparing an attack on Donbas.

He added that Russia’s economy has withstood the blow of sanctions and made it clear that it is not going to de-escalate.
