Putin's "lightning strike": Arestovich explained what the threats of the president of the aggressor country mean

Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said that the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin about lightning strikes in response to assistance to Ukraine do not mean the use of nuclear weapons.

If Putin meant nuclear weapons, he would not use the phrase “lightning strike.”

The adviser to the head of the OP spoke about this in a conversation with Russian human rights activist Mark Feygin on April 27.

“They are threatening with some kind of “dagger” hypersonic or cruise missiles. That is, some kind of lightning strike. If it was a nuclear weapon, he said “destructive” or “large-scale” strike. And “lightning” – he hints at something very fast,” said Arestovich.

Also, Yermak’s adviser added that this statement by Putin was sent not for an external, but for an internal audience, in order to once again reassure the citizens of the Russian Federation.
