The General Assembly of the UN World Tourism Organization voted by a majority vote to exclude Russia from the organization.
40 countries voted “for” the exclusion of the aressor country.
This was announced by the head of the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine (DART) Maryana Oleskiv.
At the same time, 11 countries voted against this decision. According to Oleskiv, these are: Syria, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Nicaragua, Zimbabwe, Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Korea, China and Egypt.
“The scenario desired for Russia did not work. It was not possible to tell the world that they themselves withdrew from the UN WTO. They failed to save face. But they managed to disgrace themselves once again and still disgrace themselves in the final convulsions,” the head of Gosturizm wrote.
Oleskiv stressed that the Russian Federation must go through a long civilizational path, acquire new qualities – in humanity, erudition, honor and values. And only after a complete transformation of the Russian Federation will again be able to claim a place among the “peaceful, benevolent, decent and honest people” who are members of the organization.
