Midfielder “Dynamo” Mykola Shaparenko spoke about the difficult situation in the Donetsk region, where his parents lost their home due to military operations in Russia.
The urban-type settlement Bolshaya Novoselka , where the football player was born, is occupied by Russian troops.
“Where my parents lived, in the Donetsk region, everything is already there, it seems like Russia. There is no house, they are bombing there. Like everyone else, life has not changed for the better,” Shaparenko said in a comment to SportArena .
The midfielder also shared the goal of Dynamo charity matches.
“With these matches, we help Ukraine, bring people at least some positive emotions. They look at us, get sick, worry. We also worry about our country, we follow what is happening. We try to raise money and transfer it to the front,” he said.
As a reminder, at least 400,000 euros were raised for Ukraine as part of the charity match Borussia — Dynamo in Germany.
