The NBU allowed not to issue paper checks when making payments via pos-terminals. At the same time, the National Bank obliged banks to resolve disputes regarding the use of payment cards, regardless of whether the user has a pos-terminal check.
The National Bank allowed financial institutions not to issue checks to payment card users when making cashless payments through a pos-terminal.
This was reported by the press service of the regulator.
“Unfortunately, during the war, logistical ties were disrupted, so now it is difficult for banks to ensure the availability of terminal paper for printing checks with POS terminals. But this did not prevent non-cash payments,” the NBU said.
At the same time, the National Bank obliged banks to resolve disputes regarding the use of payment cards, regardless of whether the user has a pos-terminal check.
That is, even without such a check, customers can still receive funds in the event of a return of the goods and contact the card-issuing bank to appeal the transactions made.
Recall that the National Bank of Ukraine has limited access to open information about participants in the non-banking financial services market. The financial institution believes that this will help to avoid the illegal use of information by the aggressor.
