The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution prohibiting employees of state-owned enterprises and their managers from working remotely outside of Ukraine.
Employees of state-owned enterprises who went abroad to escape the war must return to Ukraine. Otherwise, they may be fired.
This is stated on the website of the Cabinet.
It is noted that remote work is allowed if it is possible to ensure proper (continuous) work.
“To establish that for the period of martial law for employees of economic entities of the public sector of the economy, by decision of the executive body or the head of the economic entity, remote work may be introduced if there is an organizational and technical capability to perform their duties,” the document says.
At the same time, the work of employees, members of the executive body and heads of business entities outside of Ukraine is allowed only in the case of a business trip, issued in the prescribed manner.
“In the event that employees of the public sector of the economy stay during working hours outside the workplace in Ukraine, without the decision of the management or stay abroad during working hours, with the exception of a business trip issued in the prescribed manner, they may be subject to disciplinary action or their powers terminated in in the prescribed manner,” the government said in a statement.
The regulation is valid during wartime. It is noted that the norm for work from abroad comes into force from May 3.
