President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the first ten Russian soldiers from the 64th motorized rifle brigade of the Russian Ground Forces had been suspected of committing crimes. They committed crimes against Ukrainians in Bucha, Kyiv region.
Zelensky stressed that none of the occupiers will escape responsibility for the crimes committed in the war against Ukraine.
The head of state said this in a video message on April 28.
“The investigation of the crimes of the Russian military committed against our people continues. The position of Ukraine is absolutely clear – every Russian criminal must be and will be held accountable. Whoever they are and wherever they hide, we will find them all and make them answer ,” – the president said.
He noted that the first ten Russian soldiers from the 64th motorized rifle brigade of the Russian Ground Forces, who committed crimes against people in Bucha, received the status of suspects.
“Their names are known. It is established what they did. We know all the details about them and their actions. And we will find each one. As we will find all the other Russian fanatics who killed and tortured Ukrainians. infrastructure in Ukraine. None of these bastards will escape responsibility,” Zelensky stressed.
“However, some of them still may not live to see trial and fair punishment. But only for one reason. This Russian brigade was transferred to the Kharkiv region. There they will receive retribution from our military,” the president added.
Recall that on April 28, PACE adopted a resolution proposing to urgently create a special international tribunal to investigate war crimes in the course of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
