The occupiers of the Russian Federation damaged the 330 kV high-voltage line of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
To ensure stable operation of the power system, the station was transferred to a lower power level. Currently, the nuclear power plant provides power only for its own needs.
This was reported in NNEGC “Energoatom”.
It is noted that on April 28 Zaporozhye NPP continues to operate in the energy system of Ukraine.
“The ecological, fire-prevention and radiation state on the territory of the industrial site of the Zaporozhye NPP and in the sanitary protection zone is within the normal range,” the report says.
The radiation background at the industrial site is 11 microroentgens per hour, in the sanitary protection zone – 8–12. This corresponds to the natural radiation background at the location of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
As reported, another brigade of Rosatom employees arrived at the Zaporozhye NPP, temporarily controlled by the Russian occupiers. According to Energoatom, nuclear workers from the Russian Federation arrived to replace the previous brigade.
