Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremska overcame the first round of the WTA 1000 elite tournament in Madrid.
The rival of the Ukrainian was the tennis player from Belgium Gretje Minnen (No. 79 WTA).
The tennis players spent only a little over an hour. The duel ended ahead of schedule. The Belgian lost the first set, took a 2-0 lead in the second, and then withdrew from the fight.
In the next round, Yastremska will play against Karolina Pliskova (No. 7 WTA) or Maria Bouzkova (No. 77 WTA).
Access to the second round brought Dayana Yastremska 65 credit points and 45,000 euros in prize money. We add that the winner of the Madrid Open will receive more than 1 million euros.
