Court-sanctioned searches were carried out at the housekeeper of Viktor Medvedchuk, a people’s deputy from the Opposition Platform for Life, suspected of treason and facilitating the activities of a terrorist organization. During them, law enforcement officers seized 467 thousand dollars. and 87 thousand euros.
The search took place in the course of the investigation of criminal proceedings on the financing of actions committed with the aim of forcibly changing or overthrowing the constitutional order or seizing state power, changing the boundaries of the territory or the state border of Ukraine.
This was announced by the Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova.
“Once upon a time there was an ordinary woman and she worked as a housekeeper. Globally , nothing special. euro ,” the statement said.
“And again, you will say that it is too early to ring the bells – what if someone borrowed an inheritance, saved up, sold something, this is life. Yes, she is like that: selfish, lucky, thoughtful, modern housekeeper of Medvedchuk ” – added Venediktova.
Recall, on April 16, the Lychakivsky District Court of Lviv changed the preventive measure for Medvedchuk and took him into custody without the possibility of making bail on suspicion of treason and assistance to the activities of a terrorist organization.
