President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with Prime Minister of Bulgaria Kirill Petkov in Kyiv.
The President noted that Bulgaria is among the states that reacted fundamentally and quickly to Russian aggression. The head of state thanked the government and people of Bulgaria for not delaying to support Ukraine.
Zelensky announced this in a new video message on April 28.
He also shared what he talked about with Petkov.
“We discussed defense, energy, and transport issues with Mr. Petkov. Sanctions pressure on Russia, which is necessary for the sake of peace. We discussed our cooperation at the EU level. The agreement on the repair of our military equipment at Bulgarian production facilities is very important,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared.
The President also noted that they agreed on the supply of Ukrainian electricity to Bulgaria and the use of the capacities of the Trans-Balkan gas pipeline jointly with the Bulgarian side.
“I thank Bulgaria for the opportunity to use the port of Varna to export our agricultural capacity,” the head of Ukraine added.
Recall that the Office of the President called for Russia to be deprived of membership in the UN Security Council after the shelling of Kiev on April 28. Andriy Yermak drew attention to the fact that the capital was shelled during the visit of UN Secretary General António Guterres.
