In Mariupol, the Russian occupiers issue birth certificates to newborn children of the unrecognized pseudo-state formation “DPR”.
In particular, on April 23, such a “document” was given to a newborn boy whose mother was unable to evacuate to the safe territory of Ukraine.
This was reported by the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova on Facebook.
She noted that in fact the child was deprived of any citizenship.
“Such actions of the Russian Federation violate the rights of children enshrined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, in particular Article 8, which provides for the right of the child to preserve their identity, including citizenship, name and family ties,” she said.
Denisova also called on the people who are in Mariupol not to be exposed to the shameful influence of Russian propaganda and to protect the right of their children to preserve their individuality and citizenship.
In addition, Lyudmila Denisova appealed to the UN Commission to Investigate Human Rights Violations during the Russian military invasion of Ukraine, to take into account these facts of Russia’s violations of the rights of the child in Ukraine.
Recall that in Mariupol the invaders come up with new bullying in the filtration camps. In particular, the enemies give a stone and force them to rip off their tattoos.
