The occupying authorities in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions are forcing students of higher educational institutions to donate blood en masse for the wounded invaders.
About 700 cases of involuntary blood donation are already known .
This was announced by the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova.
Denisova recalled that the actions of the Russian Federation violate Article 11 of the Additional Protocol to the Geneva Conventions of August 12, 1949, concerning the protection of victims of international armed conflicts (Protocol I).
“I am appealing to the UN Commission of Inquiry into Human Rights Violations during Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine with a request to take into account these facts of human rights violations in Ukraine,” the Ombudsman stressed.
Earlier it became known that in Zaporozhye the invaders use civilians as human shields. In addition, the invaders are trying to introduce the Russian currency.
