At least 10 people were injured after being hit by two cruise missiles in the center of Kyiv. Several floors of the building were damaged.
Rescuers and doctors immediately went to the place, saving five people, according to TSN .
Explosions in the capital were heard at about eight in the evening, two shells were visible on video from CCTV cameras. The first blow came near the high-rise building, but after 20 seconds the second rocket hit the house itself.
Residents were inside the house at the time of the shelling. “5 people were saved, 10 were injured. There were no serious ones,” they say in the State Emergency Service.
Artyom, one of those who left the house on his own, was in his apartment on the seventh floor during the shelling. “After the first rocket, just window panes flew out of me, after 15-20 seconds I looked out the window where the rocket itself flew in, and right through the window I saw a rocket flying in this direction. I quickly jumped into the corridor and the second rocket hit the first floor. The frame has already taken off, there was a very strong explosion,” the man says.
He was not injured, which cannot be said about his apartment, but the first floors got the most.
At the damaged high-rise building lies a fragment of a deadly projectile. It was a cruise missile, says an adviser to the interior minister. But he claims that they know where she was released from. “We know that she flew from the Black Sea region. Most likely from the territory of the Ukrainian Crimea, from where they released them, ”notes Anton Gerashchenko.
As a result of the shelling, a fire also started, burning on a total area of 100 square meters. He was eliminated within an hour.
Due to the shelling, high-rise buildings around were also damaged, windows flew out into them. In total, almost a hundred rescuers were involved in the aftermath. Now they continue to inspect the apartments to make sure that there are no people left in the house.
Almost simultaneously with Kyiv, the Russians also hit the region. Cruise missiles fired at Fastov , this city is 70 kilometers from the capital. Previously, three arrivals at infrastructure facilities were recorded there. Immediately after the explosions, all emergency services were on the scene. Now they find out if there are any victims and what is the scale of destruction.
