The occupying authorities of the Russian Federation in the Kherson region do not have “extras” to remove the so-called “referendum” on the creation of the “Kherson People’s Republic” in Kherson.
The Russian invaders lack the resources to carry out their plans for a “referendum”.
This was stated by Yuri Sobolevsky, the first deputy head of the Kherson Regional Council, writes “Suspilne”
“They don’t have support from either the population or local government. They won’t even be able to do something like a ‘referendum’, because this is the opening of polling stations, the preparation of voter lists, that is, a very big job that they will not be able to organize in the future to do in the Kherson region. The show is possible. I wouldn’t be surprised if they shoot this show in the Crimea or in any other region. In the Kherson region, it will be a problem to film something now, because a significant number of people are needed. They don’t have this, ” – said the first deputy chairman of the regional council.
Sobolevsky also said that the Russians cannot introduce rubles into the temporarily occupied territory.
“They really want this, but understand: everything they undertake, everything turns out to be a fail on a fail. And given the way these people behave, I believe that they will steal most of the rubles even before they are delivered to Kherson region, – said Sobolevsky.
Entrepreneurs of the Kherson region today are not in the mood to work with rubles.
Earlier, the mayor of the temporarily occupied Kherson, Igor Kolykhaev, said that the invaders were not going to hold a pseudo- referendum yet: “ I think that they are most likely planning to annex the region to Crimea . It makes no sense to make another quasi-republic. There is no preparation for a “referendum. “
Recall that on April 25, Russian invaders seized the premises of the Kherson City Council and removed the flag of Ukraine . The head of the regional military administration, Gennady Laguta, said that this was expected, and none of the authorities would accept either the tricolor of the Russian Federation or the Soviet flag.
The Russian occupiers and local collaborators cooperating with them at a special meeting, after the seizure of the premises of the Kherson City Council, introduced the so-called “heads” of the Kherson regional and city administrations Vladimir Saldo and Alexander Kobets.
Kherson city council has been working remotely since April 26, and more than 40% of the population has already left the city.
