Streamers, grenades, mines, shells – after the stay of the orcs in the Sumy region, the earth is literally stuffed with explosive objects and pyrotechnicians neutralize dozens of “surprises” every day.
Forest belts, field roads, parks are no longer a place for walking, but too dangerous, experts say – cemeteries, where, despite the ban, people still go, says TSN .
29-year-old Roman has been in the hospital for several days now, his eyesight is being saved. “I ran into an anti-personnel mine and there was an explosion,” says the young man.
And it’s a miracle that he didn’t die, the walk-behind tractor, on which the railroad worker was returning from a shift, took the whole blow. The man says that the occupiers camouflaged a mine on a field road, which was usually used by locals. “It was covered with rubble along the way,” he adds.
Where they stood, there they passed. Field roads, paths in the villages, in particular, around Sumy and Trostyanets, are now very dangerous. “The guy literally 3-4 days ago was walking with the dog, the dog was in front, and she, therefore, took off the stretch, and the man was injured by shrapnel,” says the volunteer.
It is in the places where the enemy troops were stationed that there are the most explosive “surprises”. “There were equipment in three rows here, the whole center was occupied. “Pinocchio” drove back into the courtyard of the regional department here,” says Valery Partala, who remained in Trostyanka during the occupation and saw what the Russians stuffed his hometown with.
When the Russians retreated, they passed everything they saw. From the railway station, explosives were taken out by trucks what the occupiers had left. It is no longer dangerous in the city center, but experts advise to bypass the surroundings and cemeteries. Especially after a man exploded and died on a stretch at the cemetery. The cemetery itself on the outskirts of Trostyanets is called one of the most dangerous. Russian troops replaced him when they left. And while the territory is not examined by sappers, the authorities forbade people to come here. However, after a while visitors meet here. They explain their fear and risk, on the eve they buried a relative, for this reason the sappers were called. “On purpose, people came to clear mines and told us to step left, step right – they don’t walk,” says a resident of Trostyanets.
Currently, all burials in Trostyanets are allowed only in the central cemetery, which has already been examined. More than 3,000 traps have already been neutralized in fields, gas pipelines, near damaged pyrotechnics. They say that many mines and tripwires are disguised as household items and electrical appliances. “A person sees one mine, and under it there may be another one, and also stretch marks from anti-personnel mines – this is such a thin wire, you just can’t see it,” the sappers explain.
A month later, since the invaders were driven out of the Sumy region, at least seven civilians were blown up by trip wires and mines – two were killed. “The locals were warned: until the specialists come, you don’t go there. The man left, these tapes were interrupted, he went – he exploded, ”the pyrotechnicians lament.
Therefore, people are once again urged not to walk along unexplored roads and even on familiar paths, carefully look under your feet.
