One of the most influential football agents in the world, Mino Raiola, has passed away at the age of 54.
The Dutch agent of Italian origin has died at the age of 55. Earlier, Raiola’s death was reported on April 28, but on the same day, the agent himself denied this information.
Today, April 30, Raiola’s death was announced on his official Twitter page.
“It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of the most caring and incredible football agent in history. Mino fought to the end with the same vigor that he protected his players at the negotiating table. As usual, Mino made us proud of himself, although he never realized it “, the message says.
Raiola represented the interests of such world football stars as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Erling Haaland, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Matthijs de Ligt, Marco Verratti, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and many others.
Earlier media reported that Raiola was operated on at the San Rafaele hospital in Milan due to a lung disease that is not related to COVID-19.
