Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President’s Office, denied the statement of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov about alleged negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation on the lifting of sanctions, “denazification” and “demilitarization”.
In particular, Podolyak stressed that he had never seen Lavrov at the negotiating table between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations.
“This is not the first time that we have to say that representatives of the Russian Federation have too much distance between facts and fantasies. Firstly, I have never seen Lavrov at the negotiating table. Neither in person nor online. surprising is his tendency to comment on what you do not participate in and what you do not see from the inside of the process,” said the adviser to the head of the OP.
He also denied talks on “denazification” and “demilitarization” of Ukraine.
“Secondly, the Russian army quite specifically “discussed” the “denazification and the Russian language” with the Ukrainians in Bucha , Gostomel, Kharkov, Volnovakha and, of course, in Mariupol. And all the relevant conclusions are forever inscribed in history with the blood of innocent Ukrainian citizens,” – commented on the statement of Lavrov Podolyak.
He also stressed that within the framework of the negotiation process, the issue of global international sanctions against the Russian Federation is not discussed at all . Since the reasons for their implementation by the world community have not yet been eliminated, namely, the occupation of part of the territory of Ukraine and “the treacherous violation of our territorial integrity and sovereignty.”
“Of course, sanctions cannot be discussed with Ukraine without the participation of all other countries, because the entire civilized world imposed them in response to the absolute barbaric behavior of Russia. And it is all our partners, together with Ukraine, who decide when and what decisions on sanctions to take. Therefore, we have to once again urge the representatives of the Russian Federation to refrain from comments that are not reliable and in any way correspond to the real course of the negotiation process,” the adviser to the head of the presidential office concluded.
Note that Lavrov argued that the agenda of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia included the issues of “denzification”, “demilitarization”, the recognition of supposedly new geopolitical realities, the lifting of sanctions, the status of the Russian language, and others.
In addition, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry was marked by another scandalous statement – that in the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine there is one more goal and this is “liberation of the world from the West.”
