This year, the military parade on Red Square in Moscow on May 9 will not be as numerous in scope as it was last year.
This is with reference to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports the Russian service BBC .
It is noted that there will be less people and equipment, and not a single foreign leader will come to the capital of Russia this year.
So, according to the information of the defense department of the aggressor country on the composition of parade columns, in 2022 129 units of military equipment will participate in them, while last year there were 191 military vehicles.
About 10,000 people will walk along Red Square, including children from the Yunarmiya paramilitary movement and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. In 2021, 12,000 people participated in the parade. But as for aviation, this year there will be one more unit – 77 aircraft and helicopters .
Moreover, according to the order of columns published by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, it is clear that the parade-2022 will not show: T-80BVM tanks, self-propelled artillery mounts 2S35 “Coalition-SV”, heavy flamethrower systems TOS-1A “Solntsepek”, engineering system vehicles remote mining “Slowdown”, anti-aircraft complex “Pantsir-S”, as well as all vehicles of the Rogvardia.
It is worth noting that the Russian Ministry of Defense does not explain or comment on the reasons for the decrease in the scope of the parade, just as they do not publish the real numbers of losses in the war in Ukraine.
Recall that on February 24, Russia attacked Ukraine , inflicting a series of missile and air strikes on our cities, including Kiev. The large-scale invasion has been going on for the 66th day (war of 8 years). The occupiers continue to destroy Ukrainian villages, towns and cities with cruise missiles and air bombs, killing the civilian population and causing devastating destruction to the infrastructure.
At the same time, Russia also bears colossal losses in manpower and equipment in Ukraine. Thus, as of April 29, more than 23,000 Russian military personnel, almost 1,000 tanks, 2,418 armored combat vehicles, 189 aircraft and 155 helicopters have already been eliminated.
