Ukraine held an exchange of prisoners with Russia on April 30, so 14 Ukrainians are returning to their homeland.
Of the 14 Ukrainians who were exchanged, seven are military men , and seven more are civilians.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for the Reintegration of the Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk.
“Today, prisoners were exchanged. We are returning home 14 of our people: 7 military and 7 civilians. This exchange is special for me: one of the military women is five months pregnant. God bless!” – the message says.
Recall that earlier Vereshchuk said that the Ukrainian side refuses to exchange prisoners from the Russian Federation if there are no women on the list. Russia does not want to release Ukrainian women from captivity.
