Comparison of iPhone 7 Plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 cameras

Friends, I propose to look at the pictures, you can appreciate how the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 shoots against the background of the iPhone 7 Plus. There are no examples of shooting at night here, because the new Samsung got it for a very short time, later we will arrange more detailed testing.

Impressions are as follows. In terms of shooting speed, launching cameras and saving pictures, Note 8 is comparable to the iPhone 7 Plus. On Samsung, you can change the depth of field after the frame is saved, the iPhone does not know how to do this.

If Samsung has optical stabilization in both modules, then in the iPhone it is only in one, the TV is deprived of this useful feature, so you won’t be able to make a good portrait indoors or at night.

Portrait processing on the iPhone works better, the phone handles faces more accurately, and artifacts often appear on Samsung. No wonder they wrote that the S8 did not receive a dual module for the simple reason that Samsung did not have time to bring the dual camera to mind, postponing it until the release of Note 8. But there is still work to be done here.

Samsung traditionally embellishes the picture, the colors are brighter and richer, this is clearly seen in the examples with vegetation – the grass is so green that you want to muffle the colors. But portraits look better, on the iPhone the picture needs processing, while on the Note 8 the frames come out brighter.

Detailing is not as good on the iPhone, fine details are better on the Samsung. True, the branded “oversharp” remained in place.

For my taste, Samsung photographs better, the pictures look more beautiful, they have more life, in addition, wide-angle optics make it more convenient to shoot architecture.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is on the left, iPhone 7 Plus is on the right.
