The Russian manufacturer of storage systems and servers Yadro increased revenue in 2021 by 26% and increased the staff by 1.5 times

Russian electronics manufacturer Yadro reported on the results of 2021, which was successful for the company. Its revenue increased by 26% compared to the previous year, i.е. up to 33 billion rubles. (VAT included). According to the estimates of the analytical firm IDC, Yadro ranked second in the Russian server market in terms of revenue with a share of almost 17% (21% in the storage market).

Revenue growth became possible thanks to the development of the product portfolio. At the end of 2020, the company launched several new products, including the Vegman server platform, which is represented by two models, and Tatlin.Unified enterprise-class universal storage. During the year, the company shipped a record volume of products, including more than 4,000 servers from the Vegman family.

Last year, Yadro launched two large projects with a budget of more than 12 billion rubles, financed from its own funds. The first one is Yadro Fab Dubna — the construction of a full-cycle plant for the production of computer technology and telecommunications equipment in Dubna (Moscow region), the second — the creation of a design center for semiconductor products Yadro Microprocessors to develop and launch a line of domestic microprocessors based on the RISC-V architecture for various types of computer technology.

It is reported that in the shortest possible time a full-fledged team was formed to create SoC, a target product portfolio was identified, and the initial stages of development and preparation for production of the first products were implemented. In 2021, Yadro opened a new R&D center in Nizhny Novgorod, strengthening software and hardware development teams in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Yekaterinburg. The company’s staff increased by a total of 50% to 1,000 people.

Finally, the domestic developer of IP processor blocks and tools based on the open RISC-V architecture Syntacore, now part of the Yadro group, became the first Russian company to join the board of the global consortium RISC-V International. The head and founder of Syntacore Alexander Redkin was included in the board of directors of RISC-V International.
